WORKSITE EVAL AND ACCOMMODATION

Service Description

Provides an overview of assistive technology accommodations on worksites and public policy related to independent living for individuals with disabilities throughout their life span. Individuals with disabilities can often achieve employment through the application of sound ergonomic principles, and where necessary, low-to-high-tech job accommodation devices. This course covers the application of these strategies in office and manufacturing environments, as well as the unique issues that individuals with disabilities face regarding emergency evacuation from worksites. Focuses on assistive technologies that support daily living tasks and workplace accommodations to improve the performance of daily living and work activities for individuals with disabilities.
